If you’ve played the original NES Mario game, then you’re probably going to love this new flash game that came out on Wednesday. That’s right; it’s the original Mario NES in your browser but with a twist. They’ve brought in a roundhouse cast of other famous Nintendo characters. Super Mario Crossover by explodingRabbit is a fun browser based flash game that allows you to play through the old (and great) 1985 Super Mario Bros NES....

The news is confirmed on the Meebo blog, but a price for the transaction is not mentioned (although the company has been said to be worth around $100 million). The Meebo team says in the post that it’s “super jazzed up” to roll up its sleeves and “get cracking on even bigger and better ways to help users and website owners alike”. Meebo has started as a service connecting instant messaging services in its website – very useful for people not allowed to use such software at work like Windows Messenger or Pidgin....

Google recently posted on their blog explaining that they are not unaware of the situation, and have taken steps through their page-ranking system/algorithms to ensure “We won’t up-rank spammers.” Result? Comment spam no longer increases page rank on the Google search results for spammers, and the same goes for member and group name spam. Hopefully, the spammers get the message and read this because nothing is more annoying than Comment Spam!...

Just tried out the new Google 411 Service. I have to admit, the service worked “ok” on the first try. For those of you who haven’t used the service yet, try it out. Dial 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411), say your City and State then the business your looking for. The service will do the rest. A few of the extra features for mobile phone users. Just say: Text Message – Service will send you more info on the businessMap It – If your phone has Internet, the service will send you a map of the business’s surrounding area....
