As stated on the google.com/voice home page, they no longer require an invite to set up your account. Unfortunately, Google was very specific in their blog post that Google Voice is still only available to those inside the USA. Hopefully, more news will follow for Asia, Europe and Canada, however, my guess is they are still working out the details with the carriers and governments in the APAC and EMEA regions....
With that, yesterday, Google announced they have shut down the development of the product and plan on dropping all support for it by the end of this year. The code and technology behind the product will remain on Google’s servers indefinitely as an open-source platform, but gone for good are its stand-alone web-app days. For concerned “heavy users” of Wave, Google is developing export tools, so the data will not get lost when the service goes down for good....

Most people view the Google Chromecast as just another streaming device, but it’s much more than that. Unlike streaming boxes, the Chromecast doesn’t have a menu system or special apps you need to navigate to use it. Instead, the Chromecast transforms your TV into a “smart” TV. In any Office app, open the File ribbon. From the File menu click the Options button. In the Options window click the Language tab.
